Microphones

The Townsend Labs Sphere L22 microphone modeling system consists of a high-quality large-diaphragm condenser mic that works in concert with software that meticulously models the sonic attributes of some of the most coveted microphones ever made. The Sphere DSP plug-in even lets you change your mic selections and polar patterns after recording, accurately modeling the response of a variety of microphones, including transient response, proximity effect, harmonics, and three-dimensional polar response. The Sphere L22, a dual-capsule mic with dual outputs, enables a more thorough capture of the sound field - and also offers the option of coincident stereo recordings, even with different mic models in left and right channels, using the plug-in. The Townsend Labs Sphere L22: it's a brave new world of sound capture.

The KM 184 is a state-of-the-art small diaphragm condenser microphone with a uniform, frequency-independent cardioid polar pattern. Its very natural, transparent sound with very low self-noise and high SPL capability have made the KM 184 a worldwide stage and studio standard for many applications ranging from classical piano to heavy metal drums.

Neumann KM184 MT

High sensitivity and extremely low self noise; five switchable polar patterns for placement and application flexibility; two-color LEDs provide quick visual indication of selected polar pattern and output overload; elastic capsule suspension greatly minimizes structurally-transmitted noise from chassis vibration; H85 professional shock mount/stand adapter, PF80 external pop filter and W414 X external windscreen. A reference-quality microphone especially used for accurate, beautifully-detailed pickup of any acoustic instrument. With the introduction of the NeXt Generation C414 B-XL models, AKG sets new benchmarks for useful features, improved technical specifications, ease of use and available accessories. All of these improvements are answers to requests from ever-demanding recording studios, broadcast stations and concert engineers, but with the basic sonic character of the legendary C414 unaltered. Additional features - High sound pressure level capability and wide dynamic range, completely immune to electrostatic and electromagnetic, interference from digital gear, computer monitors, etc. thanks to solid metal housing and transformerless output stage, three switchable bass cut filters and three pre-attenuation pads with LEDs for quick visual indication. All switchable components operate in low impedance circuits for ultra-high reliability even in extremely humid conditions. Also available in stereo pair C414 B-XLS/ST.

AKG D12 VR

The D12 VR is a reference large-diaphragm dynamic microphone with cardioid polar pattern. Designed specifically for kick-drum recording applications, the microphone has a thin diaphragm to enhance the low frequency performance. Its warm sound is realized by the original C414 transformer, especially impressive at high signal levels. The D12 VR features three active filter presets to match its sound shape with the kick drum’s character. When activated, the output level is automatically reduced by 10 dB. The filter settings can be controlled using a switch on the microphone body. Without phantom power, the microphone operates in passive mode and delivers the instruments pure sound.

Sennheiser MD 421-II

The MD 421 II continues the tradition of the MD 421, which has been one of Sennheiser's most popular dynamic mics for over 35 years. The large diaphragm, dynamic element handles high sound pressure levels, making it a natural for recording guitars and drums. The MD 421's full-bodied cardioid pattern and five-position bass control make it an excellent choice for most instruments, as well as group vocals or radio broadcast announcers. One listen and you'll know why it's a classic.

The MD 441 is acknowledged as the most accurate and versatile dynamic mic available. It has a nearly textbook perfect super-cardioid pattern, a five-position low frequency contour switch, a two-position high frequency switch, a critically damped internal shock suspension, and a hum bucking coil. Perfect for vocals and virtually every instrument.

Sennheiser e609

Super-cardioid silver instrument microphone designed for miking guitar cabs face-on and extremely close to the source. Provides isolation from other onstage signals. Also suitable for miking drums, especially toms.

TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has created the M80-SH for use on snare drum and vocal applications where a lower profile microphone with right angle XLR cable is needed.

The wide frequency response and higher SPL capabilities offer the user a superior alternative to the midrange-laden character of the "industry standard dynamic microphone.”

A tight cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response boasting a subtle rise in the high end result in a microphone that is equally suitable for snare drum, vocals or instruments on both the stage and the studio.

The M80-SH comes with a leather microphone bag and 5 meter SGMC-5R XLR cable with right angle female XLR.

Telefunken M80-SH

The RE20 dynamic cardioid microphone is truly an industry standard, a firm favorite for broadcasting, podcasting, and sound engineering worldwide. Its popularity also extends into music production as a premium grade instrument microphone. Its Variable-D design and heavy-duty internal pop filter excel for close-in voice work, while an internal element shock-mount reduces vibration-induced noise.
